A good first lesson begins with a clear conversation. Share what you already know, what makes you nervous and what you hope to practise. Your instructor can then agree a sensible starting point with you.
Take a steady approach
Arrive ready to listen and ask questions. Wear comfortable shoes that let you feel the pedals. Keep your phone away during practice, follow the instructor’s directions and ask for a pause if something is unclear.
Keep learning
Learning is built through steady practice. After each session, note one thing that felt easier and one thing you want to practise again. Ask the school about your next step and current schedule.
Every learner begins somewhere. With patience, practice and clear guidance, confidence grows one safe decision at a time.
